Janet Leigh was born in Garland, Texas and has remained a faithful Texas native her entire life. She was educated in Mesquite, Texas and has lived in many of the suburbs that surround the Dallas area.
Janet enrolled at Texas A & M University with a major in health sciences. She has always been intrigued by the human body and helping sick people get well. After seeing a chiropractor for an aggravating shoulder injury she quickly changed her major to Chiropractic. She stated, “I had been suffering for years with a shoulder injury from my competitive swimming days. One adjustment and my shoulder has never popped again. That’s the kind of Doctor I want to be.” Janet continued her undergraduate work at Texas Women’s University and completed her studies with a Bachelors of Psychology. Three years later Janet graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic with a Doctorate in Chiropractic and Anatomy.
After practicing chiropractic for many years, Janet decided to take a dive into writing her first novel. She has always admired writers who could make her laugh while weaving a magnificent story. Janet was working full time during the day and taking writing classes on the internet at night. “Not the fastest way to learn, but I had some great teachers and mentors,” she says now.
Today, Janet is a practicing Chiropractor and Acupuncturist. She has three kids, a mean cat and a dog that has allergies. After working all day and chauffeuring kids around at night she likes to relax with a funny romance or mystery novel. Her favorite authors are Nora Roberts, Janet Evanovich, Leigh Michaels, John Grisham and for that time when she needs a good cry, Nicholas Sparks.
Janet works with her chiropractor husband and writes at every opportunity.
