After adventures in sixteenth-century Scotland and 1980s Hollywood, Jennifer Cloud has become something of a seasoned time traveler. Her inherited gift of her family’s amazing abilities allowed her to take a secret job with a time-traveling agency, the World Travel Federation, and stop “brigands,” criminals dedicated to destroying history for their own selfish gain.

Jennifer may have adjusted to her job at the World Travel Federation, but she can’t adjust to the unfortunate change in status of her boyfriend and fellow time traveler, Caiyan. He gave up his key, the one thing that allows him to time travel, for her.

Her sympathy for his plight makes it easier for Caiyan to ask her for a big favor. He has an idea about getting his status back, and it involves traveling to Berlin in 1945.
