Monday, Moaning & a Movie (GOT)

Game of Thrones

The sun is out, the birds are singing, and the temperature is in the spring category for Texas. I don’t have much to moan about on this glorious Monday morning. My dog threw up last night, but even she is smiling this morning. Don’t let my Marvelous Monday morning keep you from sending me your Monday woes. We’re all in this together and I’m happy to shoulder your venting if your Monday isn’t as fabulous as mine.

As for the movie. OK, this isn’t a movie, but it is Game of Thrones, so I thought I’d put in my two cents about the first episode in the last season of the epic saga of the battles over the Seven Kingdoms.

Alert minor spoilers ahead!

I thought the writers did a good job of setting up what is yet to come. I was rooting for the big ginger Wildling, Tormund, to live through the fall of the wall (because ya know we gingers got to stick together), and sure enough he survived.  I hope he gets a go with the tall, blond, drink of water he desires but it’s yet to be seen if she shares his affections. Lord (of Light) knows there’s not much time left for the two of them to have a romantic dinner.

I was happy to see Littlefinger get what was coming to him last season, but I miss his constant (figurative) moustache twirling.

My list of hopeful deaths includes: Cersei Lannister (of course), the Mountain (Isn’t he dead already?) Bron, (I know he’s the “court jester”, but if he kills Tyrion he’s moved to the top of my list). Euron Greyjoy, the Night King, Qyburn (the annoying hand of Queen Cersei), and maybe Lord Varys (the fat monk has caused enough trouble, but he did help Tyrion, so he’s on the fence).

I’m counting on the romance of John Snow and Daenerys Targaryen to have a HEA on the Iron throne, but that would be too tidy for the GOT fans. I’ll cross my fingers and hope there was a romance reader in the writer’s room.

Scroll down to the bottom and post any comments or woes. My lovely assistant Alex will have to approve them before they go live. Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you!

Have a Happy Monday y’all!

Forever Crazy,

Janet Leigh
