Because Life Should Make You Laugh

Snow in Texas?

Yes it’s true.  We have snow.  The schools are closed and the store shelves are bare.  The Dallas area is covered in a white blanket of fluffy snow.

Saturday,  I was in beautiful Florida navigating down the inter-coastal waterway and happy my flight back to Dallas was canceled. I would miss the ice storm.

I arrived home  just in time for part 2.  But to my amazement, it wasn’t another ice storm, it was snow! Now, I know all you northern folks have been up to your eyeballs in snow. Many of the nice snowbirds I met in Florida had tales of mile high snow drifts and subzero temperatures.  My patients from such places as Nebraska and Minnesota guffaw at the idea we might be closed due to inclement weather.  But if you can build a snowman in Texas, you take a day just to enjoy the privilege.

Snow day Feb 2015

The best thing about a snow day is I get more time to write!
